Help Co-Create ASEAN Youth Document on Climate Change!

Hello there!

How are you?

I hope this post reaches you in good health!

I want to share with you that there is a group of Singapore youth going for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), 20th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP), from 1-12 December 2014 in Lima, Peru.

You can find out more about the Singapore team here and follow the blog for regular updates leading up to COP.

Your Help Needed

In this post, I am writing on behalf of the team, seeking your help to co-create the ASEAN youth document on your understanding of climate change impacts and solutions in your country. This is to help ASEAN youth reading the document to have a shared understanding of what is happening in the region and help us position ourselves better before going to COP.

You may find the list of ASEAN youth I am reaching out to here Please do suggest some friends you think would be interested in this mini project and I will add them in.

You may also find a brief template of the ASEAN youth document here Please note this is a brief guide to help us have a quick understanding of what is going on in your country.

If you are interested to contribute in co-creating this document, please do let me (Lastrina) know. One person from each country would be great. A team to contribute would be best- let me know early so I can link you up with your fellow country youth if there are.

The project period is Tuesday November 4th 12am to Tuesday November 11th 11.59pm. Come Wednesday November 12th, we hope to have the documents from all 10 ASEAN countries; Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam.

*Ps-  I am aware of Asian Youth going for COY10/COP 20. They are mainly from Japan (Climate Youth Japan), TWYCC (Taiwan), Green Environment Youth Korea (Korea), Youthink Centre (China). Is there anyone/ Do you know anyone from ASEAN going to COP? Let me know!

Keep in touch.

With much appreciation
